It is assumed that those attending will be competent sailors with a good knowledge of the theory of navigation and meteorology and will already have a level of experience approaching to the suggested minimum pre course experience.

On this course you will look at all aspects of skippering a yacht on longer passages, you will plan and execute passages taking it in turns to adopt the role of skipper with your fellow students.

Through a process of practical instruction and detailed debriefing sessions you will learn from your experienced instructor as well as from the experiences of the other people onboard.

Splash-Layout-rya-start-yachting-courseMost sailing schools will place up to 5 students on a course which inevitably means that students have to share a cabin. In our view this is less than ideal and for most people the concept of sharing a relatively confined accommodation space is not agreeable and detracts from the overall enjoyment of the course.

Therefore all our courses are based on providing students with their own cabin* and as such are priced accordingly. If you are happy to share a sleeping area then we can offer you a 30% discount.
