Dufour Yachts have embarked on a new venture in their long and established sailing history with their Drakkar 24, a 7m long day boat designed by Umberto Felci.
The goal was to encourage a new audience into sailing, looking to get out on the water at a fraction of the cost normally associated with sailing larger yachts, but also with a fraction of the maintenance and effort !!
With a balanced rig and careful attention to the hull design the Drakkar 24 is certainly easy to sail. Yet her powerful sail plan featuring a retractable bow sprit makes for an extremely fun boat to sail. So take her out for a casual sail with friends and family or tune her up for a exhilarating blast around the bay, you choose.
Featuring a lifting keel (0.2 – 1.5m) she is a very easy boat to tow and straightforward to launch and recover off a slip way.
Characterized by its open cockpit and its long seats, the Drakkar 24 can accommodate a crew of 6 – 8 people.
Attractive, performance and easy to sail… the Drakkar 24 provides a complete and easy solution to enjoy a range of sailing activites, with limited costs.
