My wife booked a Try Sailing day with Universal Sailing as a Birthday present and what a present it was…. I followed Melanie’s detailed and well presented joining instructions, arrived dutifully at 9am to be met by Chris our skipper for the day and from the start to finish could not have wished for or imagined a better day out.
Stepping aboard the immaculately maintained Oceanis 37 named ‘splash’ with my fellow sailors, Chris used his vast experience, great sense of humour and calm disposition to explain everything in easy to understand terms that even the complete novice could follow.
Tailoring his approach to the varying levels of expertise of the crew and always open to questions he instilled confidence and had us all ‘hand ons’ in no time at all.
The whole experience was professional from start to finish, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
