A delightful and picturesque river, there are a number of places to moor and find a good restaurant or pub ashore. Hamble village itself has the greatest concentration of watering holes, but if you want to go somewhere a little quieter, try Warsash on the eastern shore or right up to Bursledon where, amongst others, is the famous Jolly Sailor pub.
