River Hamble

Second only to Cowes in terms of importance, the Hamble River is home to many thousands of yachts moored at various marinas and on piles. A delightful and picturesque river, there are a number of places to moor and find a good restaurant or pub ashore. Hamble village itself has the greatest concentration of watering holes, but if you want to go somewhere a little quieter, try Warsash on the eastern shore or right up to Bursledon where, amongst others, is the famous Jolly Sailor pub.

Ocean Village (Southampton)

Ocean Village is situated in the shelter of Southampton water and right in the heart of Southampton. It is surrounded by a wealth of shops, restaurants, bars and cinemas offering outstanding recreational facilities. Overlooking the marina is the Royal Southampton Yacht Club which although a members club offers berth holders and visitors a warm and friendly welcome.
The basin formerly used for used for commercial ships is deep enough to offer facilities for the largest of yachts.
